When my daughter received her license in XXXX, I called my XXXX agent and asked if I needed to add her onto my policy. She had an older vehicle from her dad and was already covered under his insurance policy through XXXX XXXX. Because of that, my XXXX agent advised me that I did NOT need to add her to my policy. Fast forward to XXXX, I was in the process of cosigning for a new vehicle for her. During this process, I inquire what the cost would be to add her onto my insurance policy. That's when XXXX says the underwriter wants to backdate my policy to when she received her license, which resulted in a ridiculous charge just to add her. I said NO THANKS, and then opened a policy with XXXX XXXX and cancelled everything with XXXX, Auto and Homeowners. With NO notice or any mail from XXXX, I receive a collection notice on XXXXXXXX for the backdated charges, {$1300.00}. They never mailed me any notice and only waited 20 days to send their predatory bill to a collection agency. That is what I submitted to the XXXX XXXX XXXX - Complaint, but I just want to emphasize here that I never received any notice from XXXX about this bill.
