I have been having an ongoing problem for the past XXXX years with Equifax reporting inaccurate information. I filed bankruptcy XX/XX/2023 and the bankruptcy was discharged XX/XX/2023. Equifax is the only reporting agency that has removed the bankruptcy from public record and shows all of the discharged debts as current. I requested a freeze on my credit report until the report was permanently corrected but, was denied because I deemed it too risky to mail in a copy of my license. I felt this was not needed since they completed a credit identity verification through their automated system. Prior to filing bankruptcy Equifax would report inaccuracies such as reflecting paid/closed accounts as open, then a few days later report them correctly only to turn around and report the wrong information again. This has resulted in my score increasing or decreasing 80-100 points on any given day.
