Experian is still up to the same old tricks and scams. My XXXX XXXX credit card account is showing that it has a balance and is over the limit. But it doesn't. The account is paid in full and has no balance. It is actually less the XXXX, because it has a small credit balance in my favor. Despite providing Experian a letter from the furnisher verifying this fact, Experian completed and closed the investigation by " verifying '' that the outdated and inaccurate information was true and correct when it is false and inaccurate. Maintaining accurate credit reporting is critical to scoring and relationships, so I find it deplorable that despite this, Experian, upon " verifying '' and closing my investigation, proceeded to immediately send me an " alert '' that my report, as of today, is reporting my credit limit exceeded for this account! I received similar alerts from my credit monitoring. What good are these alerts and monitoring tools if Experian isn't effective at correcting irregularities. Separately, I spoke with the bank ( furnisher ) and based on their policies, they refer back to the credit bureau. " There is nothing else we can do beyond providing you an account status letter. We update monthly and anything in connection with reporting must be directed to the credit bureau. You may be able to file a dispute. '' In sum, my credit report is falsely reporting an account balance and I am getting the proverbial run around.
