XXXX of XXXX, I the consumer-initiated payment processed to satisfy debt with Capital One, at the time I had a credit card that was at limit and simply wanted to pay it off. As a consumer I sent in my remittance coupon and requested to either have the payment applied to the account. in addition, NOT to have account closed suspended or terminated or frozen. A few weeks later I received a notice on my credit report that an account has been closed. Without warning Capital One had closed my account. A week later a notice was sent stating that the account was closed due to activity not consistent with their expectation, and violation of agreement. I always paid my notices on time and proposed a settlement which the company decided not to accept. I, the consumer has not violated any terms of the agreement. I am filing this report due to account being wrongfully handled and now these actions have caused my family and I great deal of injury. Capital One has added fees since the account has closed. In addition, selling my consumer information to third party debt collectors! I am needing to get this matter rectified and removed from my credit report. As of XXXX this account has been charged off by capital one. I have sent correspondence to advise of opting out of sharing my information.
