I applied for the XXXX XXXX card today XX/XX/2024 from Capital One. My first application did not go through since my credit bureaus were frozen. I didnt receive any timely communication from Capital One regarding the freeze so I unfroze my bureaus and applied again. My application was declined because they said I had my first application pending. I called to re-submit the first application and then that one was also denied saying the reason for the declination was that I had submitted a second application. Both declination letters offered no actual reason why I was declined the card aside from each mentioning the other letter. I tried calling and had no success with anyone taking the time to properly review my application and ultimately was declined and received no help due to a technical issue, not on the merit of my credit score. Its complete XXXX and I do feel discriminated against since I was not provided ANY decision criteria based on my credit history alone. They advised me to try again in a few days which is also an incorrect procedure since a rep told me that any applications received within 6 months of each other would immediately get declined. All I want is a formal decision based my credit history which is EXEMPLARY since I have never been late on a single payment.
