Discover 's collections representatives continue to deny my experiences, which I know to be true, recorded, and have a witness to. Discover lied many times about not charging off accounts during previous calls, leading me to pay {$9000.00} on a closed account, with an estimated {$11000.00} balance, based on these lies. Now, I find out I could have saved much more had Discover truthfully informed me of their settlement practices. Discover continues to harass me for the {$2100.00} balance without offering a manageable settlement. This debt results from Discover 's unethical practice of preying on XXXX XXXX, and Discover continues to show its lack of ethics by lying to consumers. Moreover, Discover erroneously reports my account 's closing date to credit bureaus, stating it as " XX/XX/XXXX, '' when it was closed in XXXX of XXXX. I have disputed this and it has still not been corrected. I have requested Discover correct my reporting and write off this account, forgiving the current balance.
