I am writing to address a matter of concern regarding the frequency of phone calls I have been receiving from OneMain Financial. While I understand the importance of communication, I believe the number of calls I have received recently is excessive and has become disruptive to my daily activities. Since XX/XX/2024 I have received 17 calls. Per The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act FDCPA Placing a telephone call includes telephone calls that the debt collector makes and that go into voicemail. In addition, The Debt Collection Rule is presumed to violate the law if they place a telephone call to you about a particular debt more than seven times within a seven-day period. XX/XX/2024 Saturday - XXXX XX/XX/2024 Friday - XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XX/XX/2024 Thursday- XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XX/XX/2024 Wednesday- XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XX/XX/2024 Tuesday- XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Monday- XXXX, XXXX Also, XXXX texted me on XX/XX/XXXX and stated I need to have a payment of XXXX which is a half payment. I responded that I could gather as much as I could by XX/XX/2024. She responded that it has to be the full XXXX or she won't be able to process the payment. I responded. It is not XX/XX/XXXX and I have received 17 calls in regards to this matter. My account is notated that I am facing financial hardship and I am still harassed in regards to my payment. When I speak to the staff at One Main you speak to the initial person who calls you, then they transfer you over to a " branch manager '' who then does not know why you are transferred over so you have to explain your financial hardship over and over. I feel humiliated and embarrassed every time I have to explain my situation. Before this hardship I made it on time payments and had a stable income. I worked for 8 years with one employer. I've also seen that complaint # XXXX experienced a similar issue of frequent calls and being transferred over to a branch manager. The staff is polite when you speak with someone. If you do not take their call they will call you repeatedly.
