My son passed away on XX/XX/2023 i was trying to notify agencies to let them know, irs medicare etc. monts later i was looking in his wallet and saw a wisely card i wasnt sure what i was so i called and found out it was his bank, i was finally able to find a live person i was told to close it since he had funds that i was not aware of, i was sent a link i did what it said two pieces of i.d and a death certificate. But then i was told i needed his power of attny. I said how would i know that when my son moved in he was basicly homeless, he owned nothing then it was a beificiarry deed i said who ask their child about their death so they get to keep his funds i cant ask him now i said you people should have that info, not me their is only me and his mother and she has XXXX and is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and i have no idea where since we havent talked in over 35 years, then they said write a short letter just saying you are the beinifiarry that didnt work then i was told a team was working on it and would call me the next two days nothing their is no way to email them XXXX XXXX XXXX cant help you a.d.p. wont help you so you can only call a support number that sounds like a call center working out of a phone booth in XXXX you are put on hold cant hardly understand the person and generaly given the run around, even if his parents arent intitled to his funds thats fine
