I leased a XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX. The lease was for 3 years and in XXXX I went to the dealership and saw the down payments and monthly payments and was advised to extend the lease if unaffordable. I extended the lease a total of 15 months and in XXXX of XXXX I had to turn in the vehicle, purchase the vehicle or lease another vehicle. The buyout was for XXXX and wanted to finance that because the down payment and monthly payment on a new XXXX was upwards of XXXX a month with a XXXX down payment. I said to the salesman lets finance the existing vehicle. He says ok and walks away to talk to financing. He returns and says sorry theres a stop sale recall on your XXXX XXXX and we can not legally sell you this car. I said huh. He says yeah, unfortunately you have to turn it in and purchase a different vehicle. I couldnt leave with the car because the lease was up. I called XXXX XXXX and another XXXX number, the financing line gave me. Both representives were no help. They said we dont sell cars you have to talk to the dealership. I felt pressured to buy a car because my lease was up and couldnt wait any longer to get the recall fixed so they could legally sell me my existing lease. I thought XXXX XXXX somehow compensated a customer whos been with them for XXXX vehicles now and didnt create this situation. Id like my story to be told to an executive at XXXX but they will not even initially respond to my request.
