On XX/XX/XXXX, a representative of XXXX and XXXX had contacted me to resolve a debt I did not recognize. I had asked them to send over any documentation that they have on this matter, including any agreements with a wet signature to prove that this was an actual account, since I did not recognize, or have any knowledge. They said they would send it via email which I was not comfortable with. I asked for it to be sent via certified mail so that I can ensure everything was accurate. They had failed to do so and on XX/XX/XXXX, I had received another email with PDF attachments of invoices and work to be a contract agreement, but with no signature pages. Nothing that could help me verify that this is a legitimate account or to verify that my signature was there. Not to mention they did not send it via certified mail. I told them that since they did not provide the documentation I requested, that this debt was considered no void per the fair credit reporting act because they could not provide the proper documentation to verify that this is a legitimate debt and did not do so within a XXXX day timeframe. Then they proceeded to threaten to sue me because I wouldnt pay them, where I wasnt provided with the proper documentation to verify the legitimacy of this debt.
