Consumer Narrative

On XX/XX/XXXX or thereabouts, I received notifications from XXXX XXXX, my XXXX, XXXX that there were new accounts opened and subsequently received notifications from same companies that I had a significant credit score drop and that I had a new collection account on my credit report. On Sunday XX/XX/XXXX I tried to contact XXXX and they were closed so I followed up next day XX/XX/XXXX and they were also closed for the holiday. I then went onto the credit sites and tried to get the contact info for the collector, only to find the only Info available on XXXX XXXX was the name of Credit Collection Compan. I then XXXXXXXX that and found the number to an office in PA where I spoke to a woman who said that bc I live in CT and she's in PA that I can not have a file with them and after begging her to look by my info and social she stated there wasn't any account under my social and when I explained again it was on my credit reports I asked If I could have a letter stating that there aren't any accounts under me she told me she couldn't send me any info bc there wasn't anything to send and they don't send letters stating that they don't have any accounts under someone's name. She then gave me another number, XXXX and said to call them bc they are in CT and would have my file. When I called there, the woman confirmed she also had no accounts under my name or social. When I explained what happened she stated that today was a very odd day bc she had received multiple calls identical to mine and that's never happened before. I went on to call all other companies that showed up on XXXX with similar names and got the same responses with no accounts under my social. Weds I scoured old credit reports and realized that this company is committing fraud and illegally trying to collect on a debt and provide consumers with zero contact info either. This company stated on my credit reports that I opened this account on XX/XX/XXXX and that it was a collection account with a {$550.00} balance with no payment history. After seeing that the original creditor was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and comparing that to an old XXXX XXXX XXXX account back from XX/XX/XXXX with zero activity since XXXX, I then went to compare both account numbers. The original account had a balance of XXXX but limit of XXXX and was with XXXX XXXX XXXX. The new account, however, didn't start with XXXX like the original. Instead the XXXX XXXX numbers of acct number have XXXX followed by XXXX. They intentionally filed untrue data to all credit agencies and lied stating that I had just opened the account. The only XXXX XXXX XXXX account I have ever had was from XX/XX/XXXX. It was set to be removed due to aging off in XX/XX/XXXX to show up on the XX/XX/XXXX report. That account doesn't show up anymore bit was replaced with this information and what was once a {$0.00} balance which I have documentation of their reporting info to all credit agencies has now jumped to {$550.00} with no pay history and has now caused my credit to plumet by XXXX points with detrimental impacts to my credit as they are the only collection account ever listed and they reported this info even though I was told by the collector that there were no accounts under my name. This is absolutely disgusting that companies who are bound to do the right thing and follow the law have the ability and audacity to illegally and fraudulently report items on a consumer 's credit report knowing the debt would have or already had fallen off. Adding insult to injury they also put a dollar amount there that is a total contradiction of the original XXXX balance and they are holding consumers as prisoners by not providing any info to them to be resolved and it seems the only way to remedy this issue would be by the consumers in such distress they pay the creditor the money they legally don't owe to have the fraudulently reported account removed. Please make sure to not allow this to happen anymore going forward as this item was already off the report and out of nowhere popped back up and now, in XXXX I realized it was the reason why I was denied needed credit last month. The Company I called XXXX who stated they did not have an account under my name and said they legally can't have an account for me as they are in PA and I am in CT and can only be with a CT collector had the number of XXXX. That phone number is owned by Credit Management Company at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, PA. On XXXX, the same company name is listed and the address listed under the previous company name and number is located in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, Pennsylvania with a phone number of ( XXXX ) XXXX. That phone number is NOT to credit management company and doesn't match the address on XXXX or XXXX in PA. Instead, that number belongs to XXXX XXXXXXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, TX XXXX. Whoever this collection company is, is intentionally deceiving not just the consumers but the credit reporting agencies and the country as a whole by realizing that if they just give every agency different information and inaccurate info there is an almost 0 % probability that the consumer will ever be able to track down and/or verfiy this info and fake debt. this debt collector is intentionally frauding innocent victims and then, intentionally taking it steps forward and making sure to report different contact information to each reporting agency along with varying phone numbers to different entities none matching the name of the company they filed as being with all 3 of the credit reporting agencies.
