On XX/XX/XXXX, someone with my personal information including XXXX called in TransUnion 's customer service and requested verbally that the freeze to be lifted. When I discovered that the freeze was lifted, I called and requested for an extra steps of verification. The agent named XXXX ( # XXXX ) was able to add a verbal password to my file. She explained that anyone over the phone requesting a credit freeze lift would need to provide the password over the phone. On XX/XX/XXXX, I discovered that my credit freeze is lifted again. I spoke with an agent named XXXX ( # XXXX ), she confirmed that the verbal password was written in the wrong place in their system. Both of these agents revealed the password over the phone, and I complained that they shouldn't be revealing my password to anyone over the phone. I spoke with their supervisor named XXXX ( # XXXX ) that in fact there hasn't been any verbal password placed on file. The previous XXXX agents have not placed any verbal password in their system.
