This debt is not mine ; the debt collector can not provide any proof the debt is mine as outlined in the FCRA. They can not provide any paperwork proving this is my debt, a signed document or anything. Additionally, the debt collector has been using unethical practices to intentionally cause damage to my credit causing financial burden and effecting my mental health. They continue to cycle back and forth anytime I dispute the debt between the names " Wakefield and associates '' and " Choice recovery '' ( both of companies are the same as " Choice recovery '' has been acquired by " Wakefield and associates '' in 2022 and are both reporting the same debt ). Every time they do this It causes my score to drop for the same unverified debt causing severe damage to my credit and making it impossible for me to qualify for credit, more specifically a home loan. Not to mention they are currently reporting the same debt twice on my credit report. Furthermore, neither " Wakefield and Associates '' or " Choice recovery '', are licensed to collect debt in the state of North Carolina as required by law here. A cease-and-desist letter has been sent to them to discontinue any further reporting on my credit report and harassment communication.
