COMPLAINT ID XXXX SUBMITTED ON XX/XX/2023 PRODUCT Credit reporting or other personal consumer reports ISSUE Improper use of your report I file a complaint with the CFPB against XXXX XXXX for violating 15 U.S. Code 1681b, a consumer report containing information about an individual 's child support payments should be kept confidential and only used for specific purposes, such as establishing the individual 's capacity to make child support payments, determining the appropriate level of such payments, or enforcing a child support order, award, agreement, or judgment. The law explicitly states that this information should not be used in connection with any other civil, administrative, or criminal proceeding, or for any other purpose. The company did not respond to this complaint. They responded with a script about the accuracy of the information which was not the complaint, so therefore, my complaint was never addressed, and I would like for my complaint to be addressed specifically for what I wrote in the complaint. I do not understand how the CFPB can accept this without doing any type of investigation to see whether or not my issue was addressed.
