Today XX/XX/XXXX, upon receiving this letter in the mail I established an account with transunion.com and requested my credit report. I did not recognize 8 of the 11 Account Review Inquiries ( hard credit pulls ), which were 1-3 occurrences across XXXX different companies, including TransUnion itself . I also requested reports from XXXX and XXXX, and neither had these hard pulls listed. After selecting an option I was immediately connected with a very helpful representative who took the details and assured me a correction would be submitted to the credit reporting agencies. I attempted to dispute at wallethub.com and found no resources or forms to report the fraudulent credit requests. At XXXX : XXXX the company directs me to " Dispute Inquiries You Dont Recognize With The Respective Credit Bureau ( s ) '' or " File An Identity Theft Complaint With The FTC ''. I also attempted to report the hard inquiries at TransUnion as fraudulent. Their site at https : //www.transunion.comXXXX directs me to contact the lender and report it to the FTC. XXXX XXXX directed me to contact through email or phone, XXXX XXXX XXXX. I submitted an email, which directed me to a different phone number. The rep used my SSN and DOB to search their system, but was unable to locate any record of any application. The representative recommended I follow up with credit agencies ; with no trail in their system there's nothing they can base any dispute on. After searching the XXXX XXXX website directly and with a search engine, I did not find any way to dispute fraudulent hard credit pulls. I started a chat, and the chat agent initiated a phone call with me. After a brief discussion I got transferred to an executive research team member who found a profile with birthday and SSN with a random email address that was never verified. The rep disabled the associated account at my request. To dispute the hard pull I have to provide the rep 's information as part of an official police report.
