Consumer Narrative
I originally got the letter about the debt being sent to BCG Equities on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX they have had the account since XXXX. I called them on XX/XX/XXXX for the first time, and they were closed. Called again on the XXXX and requested information regarding the debt since it was something I wasn't familiar with and was unsure about the balance and was told it was going to be emailed to me but I never received anything. I called again on XX/XX/XXXX and left a voicemail, and again on XX/XX/XXXX and left a voicemail. I found out that they were suing me as of XX/XX/XXXX. I FINALLY got ahold of someone on XX/XX/XXXX and even though it was their fault I was told I would have to pay the additional expenses since they sent it to court. I set up my payments and have been paying them $ XXXX. I even got an email from a XXXX apologizing for the delay including the document I requested almost 2 months prior. ( I have a copy of this email. ) Since then, as of XX/XX/XXXX, my payment wasn't attempted to be processed until XX/XX/XXXX due to the weekend which is understandable. My payment didn't go through for whatever reason, but I just had to move money from savings to checking and call and have them re-process. They called me for this. I was traveling and missed their call but tried calling several times on XX/XX/XXXX and left a voicemail. I finally was able to talk to someone on XX/XX/XXXX- XXXX, who wasn't even in the collection department, who took my XXXX payment. For the record, she specifically says the voicemails get routed to the collections XXXX for them to call back. I dont think I have ever gotten a callback since having to deal with this company. She also told me via email my payments are still set for automatic withdrawal even though the stipulation is broken. I have been calling to try to pay the remaining balance off and I have left numerous voicemails with no luck. I am not paying any additional court fees. I have been trying to get ahold of this company and have proof that I have been doing so since XXXX. All I want to do is pay the remaining {$360.00} of the original Stipulated amount agreed on. I have already paid {$1700.00} since XX/XX/2023.
