American Express eGift cards are not usable on any major platform including with vendors they state it can be used with. Their customer service is not helpful nor do they give information to resolve the matter. Their instructions of adding your personal name and address upon check out does not work with vendors and causes payments to be blocked. I am unable to use the gift card gifted to me by my employer. I have current two of significant amounts. American Express eGift cards can not be used in a way that they are advertised and listed as being able to be used due to the way they are set up. If used the way they are instructed to be used they will trigger a blocked payment. I am also unable to add the gift card to my digital mobile wallet due to the nature of the gift card product despite it being listed by American Express of being able to. There is no way for me to access the funds at all.
