During the covid pandemic, myXXXX husband was not working and we had a XXXX IRS bill because I took out some retirement money to pay bills. I was granted a XXXX loan from BHG with all communications being via computer or phone. I was to pay XXXX a month and the money was removed from my account through automatic withdrawal. In XXXX of XXXX I contacted the company and requested access to the loan information so that I could see payment history and amount remaining etc. I was denied that access and offered a refinancing agreement this made me suspicious, so I requested to stop auto withdrawal there was no response to this request. I closed bank account and they soon began contacting me and gave me the requested information that demonstrated that after paying XXXX a month for 3 years, all monies had gone to interest and noted a XXXX fee for loan processing. I requested a payoff, the amount they quoted me was XXXX. Original loan amount XXXX During these interactions I was told this was going to affect my business, that this was a business loan. I do not own a business. I was misled from the beginning. And am having no luck in coming to a reasonable compromise with this company. I am willing to payoff a reason able amount but what they quote is not reasonable. They call me daily ; have said they filled a lawsuit in New York and now I get texts about getting a loan to pay this debt off paying only pennies on the dollar with a supposed link to the court documents. I have not opened this text as I feel like it is further scam.
