XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX bought the dental office from my previous dentist XXXX XXXX who passed away. Dentist XXXX completed dental work back in XXXX and XXXX. When the work was completed I asked dentist XXXX 's office if I owed any money? I was told no your insurance covers it. I never received one bill. After XXXX XXXX XXXX purchased the office I began receiving bills from a collection agency by the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX. United Legal Group stated I owed {$2100.00} and began threating to ruin my credit when I informed them I did not owe any money. These calls were relentless. I am elderly and XXXX so I had my niece XXXX XXXX call my dental insurance XXXX XXXX. XXXX was informed that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX had been denied payment due to the statues of limitation. XXXX never did the work it was dentist XXXX who completed the dental work. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX knows they have one year to submit claims and if they do not submit the claim with in that year they have to take the loss. And they can not come after the patient for it. XXXX called XXXX XXXX XXXX and spoke with XXXX and explained what XXXX XXXX informed her. XXXX insisted that I still owed the money. XXXX sent a certified letter to XXXX XXXX XXXX. This letter laid out dates of office visits with XXXX XXXX ( my previous dentist ), claim numbers that XXXX sent to XXXX XXXX XXXX for payment ( for the work dentist XXXX completed back in XXXX and XXXX ) and reason 's why those claims were denied. This information was obtained by XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX also sent a certified letter to United Legal Group to cease and desist. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX if the harassment would not stop we would take the necessary steps needed to stop them. Which was to record any future phone calls, notify the appropriate agencies of the violation of the FDCPA and file a complaint with the Federal trade Commission and the local Attorney General 's Office. They totally ignored the letter. I continued to receive calls. The last call I received from United Legal Group I asked them to speak with XXXX. XXXX spoke with a woman from United Legal Group and informed this woman that she was being recorded. The woman quickly hung up on XXXX. In XXXX I receive a letter from XXXX the XXXX XXXX XXXX explaining that this debt is showing up on my credit report for {$2100.00}. I am elderly and XXXX and would appreciate your assistance in this matter.
