Purchased a new XXXX in XXXX had been paying on it for about a year and a half possibly a little more then was having some difficulty paying from time to time then sought relief under the SCRA act because my son who is on the loan with me joined the XXXX and left home about 3 or 4 months after we bought it. Around XXXX or XXXX of XXXX I was trying to keep up on payments I believe I made a payment in XXXX of XXXX and was working on getting the account current when the finance company decided to charge the off and in doing so never notified me I still maintained full coverage insurance on the vehicle but tragically my wife was involved in an accident and it was declared a total loss. None of the airbags deployed and it was equipped with seven of them. My insurance company wanted to take the vehicle and and offer a payout that wasn't even enough to pay it off. They called the finance company without my knowledge to see if they would accept the offer. I told the finance company not to accept it just yet because I wanted the vehicle to be inspected by someone from the maker XXXX or from the dealership which neither one of them have contacted me and I've called them several times even opened up a investigation and have been to the dealership 4 times and still nothing the XXXX remains in my driveway awaiting for inspection but still nothing has been done. It has been 9 months and I can not believe this is how we are being treated. Please help
