I have screenshots with the apartment, XXXX XXXX XXXX discussing the LAST payment being made on the account of {$310.00} and paying them as I was moving out. This collections account should never have existed, and has since been paid in full. For some reason they came to me only with this payment and not my two other roommates which I had found really weird but paid it anyways to be done with. After a couple of weeks, I got a call from Aldous & Associates that I owed at FIRST claiming {$310.00}. I had responded to them explaining that I paid that amount in full to XXXX XXXX and they threatened me saying that if I didnt pay it, it would effect my credit score and they would come at me and hung up on me mid conversation. After that phone call, I tried to call them again later on to try and get someone else on the phone and had the same reaction with the person hanging up on me. They sent me two emails in the same day XXXX saying I owed them a FIRST amount of {$1600.00} and then a second email saying I owed {$310.00} and that if I dont pay it, itll effect my credit score. At that time I had tried to call XXXX XXXX to ask what was happening as we had settled the account, their response was along the lines of, Sorry your account has passed over to Aldous so we can no longer look into it. Ive been trying to dispute it through my credit bureau but havent heard back. I just would like this off my credit score as I have paid it in full and have the email conversations between XXXX XXXX proving that I paid the amount.
