Fortiva Account ending with XXXX. I opened this account on XX/XX/2020 for a XXXX XXXX XXXX for my home. Up to present date, I have made all contracted payments timely with no missed or late payment. Fortiva without my authorization moved my account balance to a XXXX Credit Card, which no did not give them permission to do. To date, I have been receiving harassing messages advising that I need to active this credit card and make a purchase or my account will be closed, which closing the account will negatively impact my credit score. I spoke with the company, which they said " oh well '' and they move forward with closing my account. They provided no information as to why, I would have to suffer a negative impact to my credit score when I have always made payments timely and did not authorize them to start a credit card in my name. They also provided no direction in how I'm to maintain payments to the account if it's closed. This company has very deceptive practices that punish consumers who never had any negative marks with them into forcing credit terms that were not agreed to and that will negatively impact my credit score. I want this fully investigated, because at no time did I authorize Fortiva to active a XXXX in my name. I never signed up, never activated a card, only wished to continue paying my security alarm system w/no additional fees attached.
