Last year my father, ( XXXX XXXX ), had XXXX XXXX installed at his house. The first bill he received was in my name, we scratched my name out, put his name in place of mine, he wrote a check sent them the bill. We called and told them that this account ( XXXX ) was his and not mine. The guy that I talked with assured me that the next bill he got would be in his name. It was not, they sent it in my name ( XXXX XXXX ) again. We called back, once again was assured that it was in his name. Every bill we got was in my name not his.We have sent letter after letter, made phone call after phone call to XXXX XXXX regarding this matter, but they are dead set on making me pay for someone else 's bill. I have never had XXXX XXXX in my life. But now they have turned this over to a collection agency ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ), which in turn put it on my credit report dropping it over a XXXX points. I have filed a dispute with all three credit bureaus. I am at my witts end, dealing with this matter. I talked with a lawyer and he said my best action was to file a dispute with all three credit bureaus, and contact this office. I should not have to pay for anyone else 's bill. Now I guess I am stuck with a bill that is not mine on my credit report until the year XXXX.
