I am in the process of buying a house in XXXX, NC. Unfortunately, I had a loss in the family for which I had to travel overseas. This coincided with closing. I got a Power of Attorney done as advised by the lender, Lennar Mortgage. The POA was prepared by an attorney. The lender, however, refused to use the POA citing concerns over their ability to sell the loan to investors.
