I applied for an FHA mortgage, I was pre-approved, put an offer in. The process was delayed due to him dealing with a drug overdose, and then he switched my loan from FHA to conventional without my knowledge, I never signed anything that said conventional. This caused a denial which caused me to lose the home that I was set to purchase, I lost money on the earnest money deposit, inspection, the rush appraisal. Had to order a rush appraisal because he failed to order the appraisal within 72 hours as the contract stated he was required to. He failed to communicate after numerous attempts, verbally told me I was approved and everything was fine, within XXXX minutes of hanging up the phone he sent me a denial, after I paid for the rush appraisal based on his conversation telling me that I was approved and we needed the appraisal. I have since spoken to another lender who has gotten her underwriters to check everything and I should be fine to purchase a home for the same price under FHA instead of conventional which is what my original loan terms were with this lender. I don't know why he changed my loan to conventional, especially without my permission. And then he tried to tell me that it had been conventional from the beginning but I have documents showing it was FHA.
