On XX/XX/XXXX I spoke via phone to XXXX, Experian rep, because I was denied credit to purchase phone at XXXX due to problem with Experian tax information. I knew there was a data problem because my credit rating is always in the XXXX range. XXXX quickly located the problem... saying it was on Experian 's end : several fields of my data had been overwirtten with that of another client. She fixed the fields in error but said it would take 10 days to correct system. She ordered a credit report that would identify corrective actions Experian took to solve the problem. I was concerned that the XXXX offer might not be in effect by the time the errors were fixed, but there was nothing else XXXX could do. A couple weeks later, I recieved a letter from Experian noting they had no data for XXXX XXXX in their database. I made at least a dozen phone calls to Experian, but was unable to get through even to leave a message. So I filed a complaint with the N.C. Attorney General 's Office requesting Experian assign a customer rep to correct the problem of my being denied credit for several months. Experian 's brief response from XXXX XXXX, Senior Regulatory Affairs Associate, did not address the problem or assign a rep. It contained the following inaccuracies : 1. " regarding the above mentioned deceased consumer 's personal credit profile ... '' 2. " we are unable to locate a credit record for XXXX XXXX XXXX. '' I can assure Experian I am not deceased and I received a recent Experian credit report # XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX reporting a credit rating of XXXX and listing several errors corrected. BUT I am still rejected at XXXX due to incorrect tax information. XXXX states there is nothing they can do .... that I have to fix the problem with Experian. Please can you help? I need Experian to assign a service rep who can see the problem through to a resolution that will allow me to purchase items on credit. XXXX XXXX
