The debt collection company, Hunter Warfield, is an agency who is employed by their client, XXXX XXXX XXXX. They claim a debt is owed for late fees of non-payment of rent during the COVID-19 pandemic. The rent was ultimately paid through the governments CARES Act. It is my understanding that rules and regulations under the CARES Act does not permit our previous landlord, XXXX XXXX XXXX, to impose such late fee 's. In addition, I was served a three day eviction notice, which states that after three business days, the lease contract is null and void, and that I must pay, or vacate. I vacated the property shortly after receiving the three day notice ( roughly 30 days after receiving the notice ) yet XXXX XXXX XXXX insisted upon charging another full months rent for failing to provide a 30-day notice.
