I fell behind in my payments and received a consent judgment from Republic Finance. I meet with the manager and we worked out a payment of {$250.00} a month. This was in XXXX XXXX. At the meeting I made a {$500.00} payment cash/check. The payment was suppose to be taking from my checking account or that was what I thought was the agreement. On XX/XX/, I received a garnishment writ concerning I have not made payments. When I talked to the manager of Republic Finance and her comment was I am sorry for the miscommunication. I asked her why no one called and left a message to call, why no correspondence or late notice from the company during XXXX, XXXX, or XXXX. They told me a call was made in XXXX, however when I looked at my phone I received no call and if they did call there was no message to call their office. I have the companies name on my cell phone so if they called it would have pop the name up and if they called and left the message, I would have returned the call. I am fairly sure that I was at least entitled to a phone call, email or even a letter to contact them in XXXX if there was a problem with the payment plan. I would like the CFPB to help me obtain the correspondence that efforts were made on their part before the garnishment was executed. Which is proper collection procedures for any company, bank or credit union. I also want the garnishment withdrawn and a proper payment plan reinstated. Thank You XXXX XXXX
