Consumer Narrative
Amsher & XXXX collections has furnished a deceptive account to my credit file XX/XX/XXXX. I called both places asking for the payments I made on XX/XX/XXXX when I closed the account out & neither can supply the payment. The payment was in the amount of {$1100.00} for all equipment listed on the account when it was closed. They insist that I have a balance of {$120.00} in collections for a cellspot device that was not on my account. I have attached copies of the receipts from XX/XX/XXXX showing I paid off all equipment that was listed on the account. This was paid in store. I called the store to confirm I made this payment there on that day & the store was able to pull up the receipt & confirm that I paid off all of the equipment & advised that there must be a problem on customer service end. I am very frustrated with this situation. XXXX customer service has no notes of the ongoing problems I was having with them since XXXX when I disconnected my phone line ending in XXXX. I was married at that time. I separated from my husband XX/XX/XXXX because of domestic XXXX ( including financial abuse ) I got a XXXX XXXX against him. He was listed on the account as an authorized user & had a mobile line on there ending in XXXX. He took out various lines of credit & claimed he didn't. Even after the restraining order he upgraded his phone. I tried getting XXXX assistance in helping him take over the account because I hadn't had a device with them since XX/XX/XXXX. They advise me to keep him as an authorized user since that would be the only way he could take it over. He never would. I called customer service multiple times about this. They would 3way him & he would say he was going to pay the late bills & take over the account. Whenever the time came, he did not. Raking continuous late payments in my name. Finally, in XXXX I got to a place financially where I could pay the account off, remove him as an authorized user, & close the account. I forgot to mention I had the service turned off prior & he called to have it turned back on. After this I went into the t-mobile store ( listed on the receipts ) a few times until I finally just said forget it. I'll just have to take a loss on this. I asked them to pull up every device on the account so that I could pay them off when I close the account. You will see by the timing of the payments that I paid the equipment after the past due bill was paid & account was closed. All balances became due that day on all of the equipment. I paid it then & there. I have not heard of this other device that t-mobile claims I didn't pay. This has been the most stressful experience with them. I want this deleted from my credit immediately! This whole situation has been very misleading from dragging me through keeping my abuser on the line as an authorized user to furnishing this deceptive file. I hope this can be resolved amicably. I would rather not pursue legal action.
