I made a payment to Edfinancial Services on XX/XX/2023 and received a confirmation email stating that the payment had been made. On XX/XX/2023, I received an email that the amount was past due. Upon looking at my account, it says that the payment was " reversed '' on the same day ( XXXX ). I received no notification of this and assumed that the payment had been made. I also looked at my bank statement online, and there was no record of a debit attempted by Edfinancial. Since no real money seems to have been involved, I did not attempt to reach out to them and submitted another payment. We shall see if this one goes through. I found a XXXX thread about this problem, and it seems to be an ongoing issue with Edfinancial for many people, and is totally unacceptable.The problems seem to have started when they switched to a new online platform. At the very least, if there is a problem with a payment going through, the consumer should be notified immediately so the problem can be rectified without additional interest accruing on the loan.
