VETERANS UNITED HAVE SCAMMED ME!! I am a veteran and I requested a payoff quote for XX/XX/XXXX and received XXXX for {$6200.00}. I was travelling with the military and could not send a check so I authorized a payment online for regular payment {$1500.00} plus principle only payment of {$4300.00} and the online system took my money which meant I was only approximately {$250.00} short of paying off my mortgage. XXXX days after I had made this payment I attempted to confirm the payment had gone through but the mortgage company had a cyber attack and their system was down for a week. When it came up they had applied the principle only money as 3 monthly payments and charged me interest on those payments and are holding onto the other funds as unapplied funds in the amount of {$1200.00}. They are further telling me that my next mortgage payment is due in XX/XX/XXXX. I told them I had paid everything off except {$250.00} and I needed another payoff quote to get this taken care of. They told me they could not fix my account and provided me another payoff quote for {$1600.00}. Please help because this is wrong what they are doing.
