I worked with Freedom Debt Reliefs debt consolidation program, and I was under the impression when I signed up that all of my cards would be paid off and thats why I would be paying a flat-rate fee to Freedom debt relief. That was not the case. What happened was that they allowed all of my cards to get more and more delinquent so that they could negotiate a better deal, which I was not aware they would be doing, and which resulted in me getting harassed by creditors, them showing up at my house, getting sued, but worst of all ; my credit significantly declining. When I tried to address it, they told me to just trust the process and basically said there was nothing they could do. I ended up paying off all my debt, but the creditors were a headache to deal with and now my credit score has significantly declined, hurting essentially every area of my financial life. They were not upfront about their processes or the potential repercussions associated with going through their program.
