I contacted the creditors to request a settlement and they said they would accept half which was XXXX. I advised I only had XXXX and that it would take a few months to get the remaining balance but by then the tradeline would no longer be reporting due to it being over 7 years old. They declined. It still shows in collection status not charged off on my credit report. I filed a dispute a with Experien and they would not honor the tradeline being over 7 years old and either remove it from my credit report or show as charged off.
