XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX To whom it may concern, Despite the US Post office showing a package being delivered, the gift sent to my friend on XX/XX/XXXX never arrived. The local mailman never brought it to her house and when the recipient went to her local post office to inquire about it with the tracking number issued by the US Post office she was made aware that the package had been received opened and damaged from the US Post office and that she could not retrieve it unless she paid {$42.00} of custom fees. It obviously did not make sense to pay for a package that had been opened and damaged and she requested the package to be returned to me. As of today XX/XX/XXXX the package was never delivered to its recipient nor returned to me, the sender. I paid {$26.00} with the Capital One credit card ending in XXXX and left this package under the responsibility of the US Post office to be delivered, not to be opened and probably eaten. IMPORTANT : THE TRACKING WEBSITE WAS UPDATED TO SHOW THE PACKAGE AS " DELIVERED '' BUT THIS IS INACCURATE. I asked the US Post office to refund me for the {$26.00} that this has cost me but they refused and are hiding under the entitled excuse that all sales are final which is neither legitimate nor valid as I was not informed of such a disposition upon shipping the package. The US Post office must be held accountable for their mediocre services. I have made a claim to be refunded but they closed it a few hours later under the excuse that the package had been delivered which is untrue as stated above. A few weeks ago I disputed the {$26.00} transaction with Capital One but they unfairly sided with the Post Office. I have been a customer of the bank since XXXX and today I am in the challeging situation where I am fighting vs two big organisations as a anonymous individual who has no power to be refunded for a service paid that was never rendered. Please refund my card for {$26.00} and do not side with this incompetent and careless organization. If this matter is not promptly resolved and in my favor, I will have no other choices but to file a complaint with the XXXX XXXX XXXX and will proceed until I get refunded.
