we moved cross country and my online login uses my old phone number [ landline ] for two part verification so I was unable to access my A/C I called multiple times and identified myself with DOB/Mother 's maiden name etc etc. They wouldn't accept this to change the phone number for two part verification. They insisted I supply a notarized statement. I took their form to a local [ OR ] notary and sent it off to Discover No response after 3 weeks so I called in again only to be told no one has looked at my notarized statement.Called back several times and got the same response. Insisted that all I want is to close my A/C and be done with Discover Finally, got the respnse that my notarized statement is incomplete. Was told a supervisor would call me and no call was received. The " incomplete '' issue may be the result of OR notary law requiring notaries to use their own form and NOT the form provided by Discover. All the same info is included. Hilariously they have changed my mailing address based on my Postal change of address but will not acknowledge they have identified me. I just want to close mt A/c and never have anything to do with Discover again
