I received notice from XXXX debt collection for a XXXX XXXX Credit Card. I asked on several occasions for proof showing that I opened this account, since XXXX stated it was opened XX/XX/XXXX with First National Bank of Omaha. FNBO, stated last payment was received XX/XX/XXXX and charged off the account on XX/XX/XXXX. NOTE : Statute of Limitations started in the month of XX/XX/XXXX, when payment wasn't supposedly received. I called FNBO to request a copy of the original written contract, to prove this was my account. FNBO stated they had no record. FNBO sold the account to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX on or about XX/XX/XXXX, and on that same date XXXX assigned it to XXXX. My complaint is if the account was in the hands of FNBO until XX/XX/XXXX why am I unable to get a copy of the written contract. XXXX have supplied me with bills, but in this day and age anything can be forged. Especially with my information being compromised through the XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on several occasions, and most recently Great Expressions. I did have a XXXXXXXX XXXX account around XXXX and it went in charge off status not long after. My request is for XXXX or FNBO to provide me with a copy of the original contract.to prove this is my account.
