Consumer Narrative

I filed a complaint for fraud because someone had given me a fraudulent check which I cashed. It seemed fishy so I sent the money back and I didn't spend any of it. The bank looked into it and said I would be liable for the money no matter what. I made a claim and was denied even though I didn't do anything with the money and didn't know the check was stolen or fake.
