Consumer Narrative

In XX/XX/2023, EdFinancial listed my IBR loan as forgiven on their website. ( I also have much public service, but no technical qualification due to dates. ) In detrimental reliance on that information, I made several significant changes in my life. My current payments are XXXX XXXX and as I understand it, I need to wait about 5 more years for forgiveness under IBR, but I'm upset by being misled about status, and consequences of their reneging. Is there anything to be done? Thanks for your attention.
