My credit score was XXXX. I got a new card from my bank with a higher credit limit. they dropped my score XXXX XXXX. this card was obtained a year and one half after an inquire by my bank to raise credit limit on another card that i shared with my daughter who was added to the account. I have never paid late in the seven years i have credit accounts. my debt to income ratio is 2 %. my credit usage in never above 3 %. But yet I was penalized. I tried to get my account froze but they wanted me to buy an upgraded account to do that. that was XXXX a month. Is Experian a credit reporting agency? Or are they a for profit business that wants to make money of of consumers. they sent an e-mail today that I could get one of the cards they represent with no points taken off my score. is any of this legal?
