EdFinancial refuses to update their files and correct my credit reports. They are reporting XXXX student loan accounts ( with XXXX XXXX XXXX ) as open with a balance, when in reality both accounts have been closed for almost a year and have XXXX balances. I have attempted to resolve this with EdFinancial via postal mail, email, and telephone, but they will not correct the information. During a telephone conversation on XXXX XXXX XXXX, a representative from EdFinancial verified that my account with them was closed. She said they would investigate and correct my information, and that someone from EdFinancial would contact me in XXXX hours. None of this happened. I have also tried to dispute the XXXX incorrect credit report entries with XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX, but all they do is say the information is accurate and to call EdFinancial. Here is a short history of the loans : The co-borrower and I had student consolidation loans transferred to EdFinancial from the Dept of Education, then EdFinancial transferred our loans to XXXX ( at which time EdFinancial closed the accounts in their systems ), our loans at XXXX were completely paid and the accounts closed in XXXX 's systems. The Dept of Education and XXXX have reported the accounts to the credit bureaus as being closed with a XXXX balance. EdFinancial refuses to do this.
