I received an alert that a collection was placed on my credit file. Once I looked on there I notice a collection was placed with Midland Credit Management on XXXX and XXXX credit files. I have no acknowledgement of this debt or understand how it just appeared out of nowhere on my report, so I disputed it. Additionally, I never received a validation letter or any communication from the credit buyer through any other means. This was all stated in the dispute with the CRA 's, but miraculously came back as the company verified the information as correct. I don't know how that is possible when they never send out the notices required by law! This Company has done this is the past, and will now try and use the credit reporting agencies ( CRA ) and CFPB as middle men to try and pass validation/verification letters and other correspond through in hopes of it qualifying as their communication for FCRA purposes, instead of sending it via certified mail like the regulation requires. These crooks need audited!
