Consumer Narrative
XXXX, XX/XX/2023, I called Discover Bank at XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX with instructions to issue a Cashiers check. The agent processed the check without asking who I wanted to check to be payable to. When I let her know she didnt ask who the check would be payable to, she said no problem, XXXX get someone to help reverse the error. I was transferred to a second level who informed me I would have to wait XXXX business days before the funds would credited. I asked for a supervisor and was told the same. I explained I didnt have the funds to send for a second check and needed my money credited back. These proceeds were for a legal settlement. The supervisor refused to credit my account while acknowledging their error. How can they refuse to credit my account for their error?
