Unfortunately my auto pay was turned off on my XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX did not properly notify me until I was almost 2 months late. Their emails did not indicate that I was late on a payment the subject line just said your payment is due. Anyways it was a {$30.00} payment I paid the card off the balance was only {$200.00}. I have excellent credit I have many open credit cards I am below 25 % on my credit usage. XXXX reported it to XXXX and XXXX they dropped my credit score by XXXX points because I had such a high credit score. Now my credit score is poor. I had a XXXX now I am down to a XXXX. Why is it that they can get away with dropping credit scores over XXXX down XXXX points for 1 late payment yet someone who has a XXXX credit score will only lose XXXX points in a situation like this? That is my problem why did I not only lose XXXX points? Why do I get XXXX points taken off? Plus they did not evaluate my entire credit situation and everything that has been paid on time for the past 7 years. How is this fair reporting? That is my question.. why are we not looking into how they choose who gets XXXX points for a missed payment and who gets XXXX points? It doesn't pay to have good credit evidently
