I received a letter from Aldous & Associates in the mail XX/XX/2023 about a debt being owed to a XXXXXXXX XXXX theyre trying to receive a payment of {$570.00} Ive proceeded to call the collection agency to see what this was about because Id never heard, contacted, or signed anything pertaining to this company when I spoke to the representative she stated if this was deemed to be fraud then to contact the police department or file a identity theft report. I choice to report it to identify theft which i have a reference number to that since then Ive looked through all my accounts and noticed on my XXXX XXXX account a attempted charge of XXXX on XX/XX/2023 at XXXX I immediately deactivated my account. I then call back the collection company Aldous Associate to file a dispute with them which I was told I could not do a dispute over the phone but to write a letter to them, before I could send my letter off it was placed in collections even after me speaking to XXXX of there associate about any deadline dates I needed to have the letter in by, I was told there was no time frame. I tried to follow up my dispute through XXXX XXXX but they are stating everything to be accurate which is false and they should be very aware of that.
