Consumer Narrative

On XX/XX/XXXX I submitted a complaint against Flagstar Bank ( # XXXX, see attached ) regarding their Partial Release process, and that it was the reason a property sale fell through. I had a contracted buyer that backed out after 3 months of extensions to a contract that began in XX/XX/XXXX, and still no Partial Release from Flagstar Bank. When I checked the status of my complaint on XX/XX/XXXX, the CFPB had closed the case because Flagstar Bank stated there was an unauthorized 3rd party involved. The CFPB agent ( XXXX ) that I spoke to reread the complaint to determine if there was actually a 3rd party included in the in my complaint. He verified that there was no 3rd party indicated in the complaint, only me and Flagstar Bank. The CFPB agent then suggested that possibly Flagstar Bank thought that I had not personally written and submitted the complaint. I find that a little insulting, considering they know nothing about me personally. However, I did write and submit the original complaint by myself, and sent Flagstar Bank an email stating so. The agent also suggested that since I had a name change ( I remarried during this long-drawn-out process ), that I attach a copy of my DL, marriage license, and a handwritten statement that I am the only person involved in writing and submitting the original complaint against Flagstar Bank. All of those documents are attached, as well as a copy of the original complaint and attachments that were submitted on XX/XX/XXXX. Please consider this an addendum to the original complaint. I still contend that Flagstar Bank 's unreasonably lengthy Partial Release process was solely responsible for the loss of a property sale with a contracted buyer. Please see original complaint for details regarding Flagstar Bank 's Partial Release policy, how it has impacted me, and my proposed resolution. Thank you for your assistance in this matter, it is greatly appreciated.
