I have several CapitalOne credit cards and have maintained all of them in good standing for many years. Some I use more than others, some have/ had substantially higher credit limits than others. The card at issue was recently reduced credit limit without prior notice, and with no justification related directly to my conduct and account maintenance of this specific card. Sudden reduction in credit limit has a direct negative impact on credit score, because 1/3-ish of the score calculation is about the % of available credit used. The substantial reduction has caused a substantial decrease in my personal credit scores.
