I was first emailed by the company about the debt that was owed on XX/XX/XXXX The same exact day. I was then called by the company, and I let them know that the landlord had not got back with me about how to pay for the debt, but they told me that I still need to pay it. They then proceeded to tell me that I was lucky that it had not been reported to my credit yet. I told him I would call back later to try to get it paid. Once I was able to talk to my spouse, it had become late and they were closed. The next day XX/XX/XXXX I was contacted again by phone from the same agency. I asked the debt collector nicely to call me later because I was at work. She then proceeded to get very hostile and say well. I was supposed to call back yesterday. Ive been informed her that by the time that I could call back it was past time and no one was in the office. I then told her that I get paid on Friday and I probably could make a payment. Then, she then proceeded to say good luck in a very nasty tone, as if something was going to happen to my credit. I told her she did not have to get nasty with me and I hung up the phone. I then called customer service to try to talk to a manager about how I was treated. while on the phone with the manager, the manager, then got nasty with me as well and told me that I was delinquent he then told me that I must not care about my credit because I was not making the payment today. I told him that I would try to pay it on Friday when I got paid, but he continued to be nasty about it and threaten my credit. I did then get nasty back with him because I felt threatened. At the beginning of this conversation, I try to explain how I felt dealing with the other agent, but he talked over me and would not let me finish a sentence.
