At XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX I received an unsolicited email from Navient with subject " Change in Loan Terms '' telling me that the payment term for my loans has changed. When reviewing the new terms I can see that they have extended the term of my loan by 5 years and nearly doubled the mount of interest they are charging. The previous Loan Terms I have documented from XX/XX/XXXX state : Number of Payments : XXXX Payment Amount ( $ ) : XXXX Payoff Date : XX/XX/XXXX Estimated Total Interest Amount to be paid : {$1100.00} The one I just received today changes these terms to : Number of Payments : XXXX Payment Amount ( $ ) : XXXX Payoff Date : XXXX/XXXX Estimated Total Interest Amount to be paid : {$1800.00} This is completely unethical to change my payment terms without my request, especially when enrolled in Auto-pay. This is a 100 % money grab and only serves Navient to generate more interest income at my expense.
