From XX/XX/XXXXXXXX until present my tax payment has been collecting {$650.00} monthly based on an estimated tax of {$7800.00}. I'm not sure what their estimate is based on, but the XXXX taxes that were paid when I closed on the house was {$3600.00}. I called the county and they said based on the new tax estimate the mortgage company should be able to make and adjustment. I called the mortgage company on XX/XX/XXXXXXXX and asked how to have it adjusted. They said to send the proposed property tax that I received from the county, and they would review it and make the adjustment. I scanned it in and sent it in as requested on XX/XX/XXXX. I called and spoke to XXXX, who said they received the document, but the new payment was not based on a reassessment. She said that I could reupload it and give them until XX/XX/XXXXXXXX to reassess the taxes. I called again today XX/XX/XXXX, and they said they would not adjust it based on the fact that the documentation was an estimate not an actual tax bill. It can not possibly be legal for them to estimate over twice what the tax is, collect on twice what the tax is, and continue to collect twice the amount, when I have documentation showing the max tax would be {$4800.00}.
