I have an auto loan with Santander for my XXXX XXXX XXXX. As of XX/XX/XXXX I had a payment due on my account. On XXXX the XXXX I was involved in a car accident which resulted in my car being totaled. Both my insurance and I contacted santander to let them know about this issue to prevent any late payments from being reported. My insurance then sent the payment over to them in 2 checks that equaled the full amount of the vehicle. One for {$32000.00} and another for {$2800.00}. The effective dates for these checks state XX/XX/XXXX. I just checked my XXXX credit report and they are reporting that I am 30 days late on my account which is not true!! The account is also reflecting that its open, and thats not true either. The account is paid in full and closed. It doesnt make sense that they were fully aware of the vehicle being totaled, along with being notified that the checks were sent via mail on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, and they still report my account 30 days late even after making the effective date for the payments XX/XX/XXXX. In that case that would make me 4 days late at max!
